Medical & NDIS transport
Medical transport across Sydney. Door to door. Carer included.
RideDirect runs door-to-door medical transport across Sydney — hospital discharges, specialist appointments, dialysis, chemotherapy and rehab. Wheelchair access on request, and a carer travels free.
Trips are timed to the appointment, mobility aids are secured by trained drivers, and every booking is tracked end-to-end. Sydney-wide, 24/7.

What’s included
More than a lift. Assistance the whole way.
A medical trip has a job to do — get the patient to the appointment on time, safely, and ready to be seen. That is a different standard to a rank taxi. Here is what comes as standard on every booking.
- Door-to-door assistance — collected at the door, walked to the vehicle, and helped to the entrance at the other end. Not a kerbside drop.
- Wheelchair-accessible vehicles on request, with mobility aids secured by trained drivers — not improvised with a seatbelt.
- A carer, support worker or family member travels with the passenger at no extra cost.
- Timed to the appointment — pickups scheduled with buffer so you arrive for a specialist, dialysis or rehab session on time.
- Hospital discharges collected from the ward or discharge lounge, with a call ahead once the bed is ready.
- Recurring treatment runs (dialysis, chemotherapy, hydrotherapy) booked once and repeated as a standing series.
- Extra time built in for slower transfers, oxygen, or a passenger who needs a steady pace.
- Sydney-wide coverage, 24/7 dispatch. Online booking anytime; phone Mon–Fri 8am–5pm.
Who it’s for
Patients ride. Funders get billed direct.
NDIS participants, injured workers, CTP claimants and anyone heading to hospital or a clinic travel the same way — door to door, with a carer if they need one. This page is about how the trip runs. The billing is set up once, on an account, so the invoice flows to the right party instead of the passenger.
If you coordinate the funding rather than the ride, set up an account and we capture the plan number, support category or claim details at booking:
How it works
Booked, briefed, door to door.
Punctuality is the whole point of a medical trip. A dialysis chair does not wait, a discharge lounge fills up, and a specialist runs to the minute. So we build buffer into the schedule and brief the driver before the run, rather than hoping the traffic behaves.
01
Booked
Online quote or a call to a Sydney coordinator. Tell us the mobility needs, the appointment time and any access notes.
02
Briefed
The trip is scheduled with buffer and handed to the driver — mobility aid, carer, oxygen and discharge ward all on the run sheet.
03
Door to door
Collected at the door, secured in the vehicle, and walked to the entrance. The carer rides free and every trip is tracked.
Common questions
Quick answers before you book.
Can a carer or support worker travel too?
Yes. A carer, support worker or family member travels with the passenger at no extra cost — doors-open assistance at both ends, never a kerbside drop.
Are the vehicles wheelchair-accessible?
Yes, on request. Wheelchair-accessible vehicles are dispatched with mobility aids secured by trained drivers, so the passenger is safe for the whole trip.
Do you bill NDIS, workers comp or CTP direct?
We do — through an account. Billing setup lives with the funder, so use the NDIS plan managers or insurance case managers pages below to open one.
