Accessibility Statement

Last updated:

RideDirect transports people with a wide range of needs every day — passengers travelling to and from hospital, NDIS participants, people recovering from workplace and motor vehicle injuries, frail older Australians, and people with permanent or temporary disability. Accessibility is core to how we operate, not a feature we retrofit. This statement covers our vehicles, our drivers, our communications, and our website.

1. Our commitment

We are committed to providing a service that is fair, dignified, and accessible to all passengers, consistent with the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth), the Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport 2002 (DSAPT), and the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW). Where we provide supports to NDIS participants we deliver them in line with the NDIS Code of Conduct — including acting with respect for the individual rights of each participant to freedom of expression, self-determination, and decision-making.

We aim to meet recognised web accessibility principles across this website. We use person-first language — “person with disability”, “participant”, “passenger” — and we treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time check.

2. Vehicle accessibility

3. Driver conduct

Drivers are screened and hold the driver authorisations required to operate passenger-transport vehicles in NSW. They are briefed on each booking before pickup, including any accessibility, mobility or communication preferences you tell us about.
